Crystal encrusted dolphins frolic on a sea of dark blue velvet
As you pin your favourite brooch on your lavender scented bosom.
I never liked it. The brooch, I mean (or the lavender smell, come to that)
But you thought I did as I always used to watch you as you pinned it every Sunday.
It’s all I have left of you now. A piece of tat – a trinket to remind me of you.
And how I cherish that brooch and wish it would smell of lavender again.
